Josie and Matt’s Turtleback Golf Course Engagement Session was such a blast! We loved using the gorgeous Turtleback Golf Course for our setting. It was a perfectly overcast day which is ideal when shooting any session! Just a day before the engagement session, Josie and Matt were running a triathalon….no big deal! We were talking about it, what it entailed, then Matt let us know that Josie took first place in her division! Again…no big deal! WOW!! They had to swim 1/4 mile, bike 13.1 miles, and run a 5K. Say what!? Is that even humanly possible? We aren’t too sure of that. However, we know if anyone can do it, it would be Josie!
Josie and Matt first met at college up in Duluth, Minnesota. Both Matt and Josie were exceptional high school and college athletes. Matt played football for UMD and Josie played basketball for UMD. The two of them, of course, started their relationship in the gym. This is where they first met! Josie and Matt have this calmness and positive energy about them that we absolutely love. When we first met with the two of them, we knew right away that we were going to love working with them. Matt is the organizer of the two of them and is on top of what is going on for their wedding day details! BOOM! Josie scored big on that one. :). Erin knew Josie from when she coached Josie in high school. She couldn’t be more excited to be now coaching her through poses on her wedding day!
Matt proposed to Josie at Gooseberry Falls in Duluth, MN. For any of you that know that location, you know it was a special moment! Josie actually thought that Matt was mad at her all day long, but soon she found out that he was just trying to make sure everything went as planned! The proposal was absolutely perfect according to Josie and the two of them will be getting married at Mommsen’s Harvest Hills – Pumpkin Patch and Orchard in August. We cannot wait to celebrate with the two of them this summer! They are an amazing couple who have so much love for one another.
