Lauren and Michael: On Twin Lakes Wedding in Birchwood, WI

Not only did Spooner, WI have the Spooner Rodeo going on, it had the parade. Not only the parade, but Spooner had its newest couple (Lauren & Michael) get married right in the middle of the chaos of the busy weekend. They rocked it, too.  They remained calm, laid-back, and in love as ever. Lauren and Michael didn’t even flinch at the fact that the day was crazy all around them.  Lauren and Michael got ready at the church/school that Michael grew up going to.  It was St Francis De Sales, which is right downtown in Spooner, WI.  The ceremony was amazing. The priest kept everyone on their toes, handing out responsibilities for the bride, the groom, and all of the guests. It was lovely. Just like Lauren and her girls. They all looked stunning, with braids, twists, and gorgeous eyelashes.  Not to mention the color that Lauren selected for her girls was amazing!  After the ceremony, the guests headed to Twin Lakes in Birchwood, WI. What a wonderful venue. It was the perfect venue and the perfect day for using this venue. Wowza. The wedding party took a casual wagon ride through the countryside, relaxed a little, before heading back to the reception site.  The guests were scattered about, playing beanbags, enjoying a cup of lemonade (or big kid lemonade) with their new can koozies that the bride and groom gifted to them.  The guests were so relaxed and enjoying the wonderful weather and venue.  Then came the FOOD. This was pretty amazing and just what we would expect from such a laid-back and fun-loving couple. They had your traditional BBQ and OMG…yum. The guests were fed well! Not to mention, it ended with flavored cupcakes, which Emily may have fallen in love with. Cookie dough in a cupcake….the best thing ever! We ended the evening spending time with just Lauren and Mike, watching the sunset and grabbing a few shots of the two of them. They deserved this little break away from the chaos for just a bit.  We think Mike even enjoyed it…for a little bit anyway! 😉

Lauren and Mike, thank you for allowing us to come and capture your gorgeous day. From the dress to the homemade decor Lauren made to Mike’s ability to tie a bowtie (on his leg), blew us away!

We hope you enjoy viewing their beautiful wedding day by glancing at the photos below!
